Fundraising

While parents are asked to contribute money for the trip, students are also asked to commit themselves to working hard at fundraising through the training experience.  These skills end up being useful when volunteers move into a Latin American community and begin their own community organizing.

In our chapter, we sell cases of grapefruit, poinsettias and chocolate in November and December to begin raising funds.  Every volunteer commits to selling these two items and collecting tax-deductible donations.  If you would like to know more about how you could purchase grapefruits, poinsettias or chocolate to support the effort, please contact Lisa Hogan
